Once is enough.مرّة وحدة تكفي

The client dreams out loud. The designer makes it real. Here is the script we would like to make, built on your concept and set in the Shmaisi villa from start to finish.

The idea

Voice Notes

Our clients don't sit in design meetings. They live their lives, and they send their designer voice notes from wherever they are.

Each film is built from one client's voice notes to her designer, Reem. We never see the client. We hear her life behind every note: a boarding call, her daughter's graduation, wedding drums behind a door, a fire at a desert camp. She never asks how the house is going. She doesn't have to. She only says what she dreams of, once.

Reem never speaks. As each note plays, the client's dream appears in the empty villa the way she imagines it. Reem understands what she really means, and makes it real: the design, the makers, the site, the delivery, the final details.

The last voice note of every film is sent from inside the finished home. Instead of an airport or a wedding, we hear her own house, full of her family. That is how we know she is home.

The series

Film 01 tells the whole story and carries all three things a client fears missing: life's moments, access to the rare, and a home that is truly theirs. Films 02 and 03 each take one of her voice notes from Film 01 and follow it all the way.

"Fourteen Chairs"

60 seconds · the Shmaisi villa, by day · the client (voice only) and Reem, the designer (never speaks)
"Italic blue" = the client's voice noteSound = what we hear behind her
Part 1 · The empty villa · 0:00 to 0:14
0:00
The empty double-height lounge, raw, morning light. Reem stands alone, phone to her ear. A hand holds a boarding pass."Reem. I'm boarding. I know we said Thursday."Sounda boarding call at the airport
0:03
"All I know is the table. Fourteen chairs. My mother-in-law faces the door."The table she imagines flickers into the empty room: fourteen chairs, the one at the head facing the door. Then it's gone.
0:07
The note keeps going, and going. The sun crosses the empty floor. Reem paces, then sinks into the only chair in the house."...and the mornings, one corner, just me and my coffee, and the light has to..."
0:11
A gust of wind through the open terrace door lifts blank sheets off the floor. One lands at her feet. She draws the first line.
Part 2 · Everything decided, everything carried · 0:14 to 0:46
0:14
A hand holds a graduation programme and a bouquet."Sorry, Noor's graduation! ...Not grey. Anything but grey."The room she imagines drains to grey. Reem lays down the real material board and colour floods back: cobalt, blush, teal, burnt orange. Drawings. The 3D.
Sounda name read out, cheering
0:21
Hennaed fingers."And the lamps. Like looking up from under the sea."The empty ceiling ripples like water and a small fish drifts across. Reem waits for it to pass. Then a master glassmaker's furnace in Europe, one piece being blown, his hands marking it one of one. Reem photographs the blue glass and sends it."Wallah... that blue."Reem inspects the finished lamp under a loupe. The crate is marked for Riyadh.
SoundGulf wedding drums behind a closed door
0:30
A finjan by a desert fire."Oud on Fridays. Like my father's house."A niche for the mabkhara at the family entrance. The first curl of smoke.
Soundwind, a camp fire
0:36
Everything she never has to see: Reem on site with the contractors, a delivery checked, a piece installed, the long table set down, the morning chair placed in its corner. Calm and exact.
Part 3 · Home · 0:46 to 1:00
0:46
The finished house by day: her morning corner with one finjan and the light exactly where she wanted it; her blue lamp; the long table. Silence, only the room.
0:48
The table she imagined at the start, now real and full. We see only hands: fourteen places, a finjan of qahwa passed along, an older hennaed hand at the head, the door behind her, sunlight at the window. One last voice note, sent from inside the home."Reem. Fourteen chairs. ...She's facing the door. ...She asked who did the house."Soundchairs on stone, family voices, laughter

"Under the Sea"

45 seconds · access to the rare
1
Night. A voice note from her car, the indicator ticking."A hotel in Italy. Years ago. The lamps were blue. ...Not that blue."
2
Reem turns detective: a wall of clippings and old hotel brochures, a loupe over a photograph from the 1960s, a shimmer of blue on her studio wall.
3
A train at dawn, a lagoon, a workshop door. The sign says the master no longer takes commissions. Reem slides the old hotel photograph under the door. The door opens.
4
The master's ledger. Under the hotel's order from the 1960s, a new line is written: a date, and "Riyadh".
5
The lamp glowing in her home. The last voice note, sent from inside."It's the same blue. ...Don't tell me how."

Film 03 · follows "Oud on Fridays. Like my father's house."

"Friday"

45 seconds · a home that is truly hers
1
Late-night voice notes, quiet, a clock ticking."My father's majlis smelled of oud every Friday morning.""I read at night. No ceiling lights. Ever.""And the coffee being pounded. That's Friday."
2
Reem turns memory into the layers that bring a finished home to life: oud blends tested one by one until one stops her; the mabkhara ready at the family entrance; the light scenes set, the reading lamp aimed, the ceiling left dark; in her majlis, the dallah by the hearth and the brass mortar where the morning sun reaches it.
3
Friday morning. The last voice note, sent from inside the home. Behind her, her son's voice: "يمه، ريحة بيت جدي" (Mum, it smells like Grandpa's house). She pauses."...Reem."

How it feels

Look and sound

Your villa throughoutEvery scene at home is the Shmaisi villa, shown generously and in its own colours: cobalt, blush, teal, burnt orange.
Fast, with a winkQuick cuts on the rhythm of her voice notes. Warm and witty, never sentimental. Slow only at the end.
The sound tells her storyReal Gulf sounds behind every note. When the last note comes from inside her home, the switch says everything.
Her voice in ArabicWe write the lines in English first; your team shapes the Arabic so it speaks the way EVA speaks to its clients.

This is what we're thinking. We'd love to hear what you think.
